Continuing with outfitting the bridal party, this time the pants wearing individuals. I talked about the dress wearing individuals on Tuesday so today I’m talking pants, ties, and suspenders!
I love the look these guys are sporting. The clean lines of the white shirt, the coordination of the gray pants, the splash of color from the mismatched ties, and of course the suspenders. Wither it’s fair or not, we are being more specific with the pants wearing outfits. Somehow it seems easier to pick out a specific pair of pants and shirt because, for most people, pants are pants and shirts are shirts so you really can’t go horribly wrong.
Even though gray pants are pretty much gray pants, consistency with the shade of gray would be nice though not essential. From left to right, Gap Tailored Khaki (straight fit) in light asphalt, Gap Gray Pinstripe Tailored Pants (straight fit), and Banana Republic Straight Gavin fit chino in construction gray. I think I like the pinstripe ones in the middle the best, but since I haven’t seen any of these pants in person, I don’t know what they look like or how they fit beyond the picture. I’ll be dragging my brother out to try them on soon. A basic white shirt should be easy enough to find, in fact I would best that everyone already has one in their closet. So that leaves the suspenders and ties!
These crazy colorful ties are made by Northern California crafter Amy who is creative mind behind The Belle and the Beau. I found her shop through Etsy and have already contacted her about creating four custom neck ties for our bridesmates and one toddler sized bow tie for our nephew! I want each person to pick out a different fabric pattern that they like. The final piece to the ensemble are the suspenders. I’m not quite sure where to go about hunting those down. We may go the easy route and find basic black pairs at Macy’s or we could have some fun finding four vintage pairs at thrift stores.
With all of the inspiration and the suggestions, I am really excited to see the look come together. I’m looking forward to shopping with everyone! Lets set up some dates people!!
