The View Through My Lens: Family Photos

Posted on

Todays photographs aren’t actually from my lens, I’ve been looking through family photos to find wedding photographs for display at the wedding. I absolutely love these two pictures. The first one is of Alaina’s grandmother on her wedding day, the second is a snap shot of my grandparents shortly after they were married.

I really have the best bridal ladies, really. They have totally outdone themselves. I am so, so, so thankful to have them! *above banner made by bridesmaid Lisa*

Alaina painted the directional signs that will go along the road to let people know they are going the right way. I think they turned out amazingly cute! She got old boards and a little can of paint from Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore. She only spent a few dollars and the boards are pre-weathered.

Don’t you wish you were an out of town guest! My almost-mother-in-law put these welcome bags together for guests that are traveling to be here. Each bag has a map of Olympia along with some other attractions the guest might enjoy. Then they have some little treats including locally made cookies! We’ll be dropping them off at the hotel for the guests to pick up when they check in.

I picked up my pint-sized playmate’s flower girl dress yesterday. It is so incredibly cute, I want to wear it!

Growing up ,my brother, Mark, had two best friends; the three musketeers. Dan, Matt, and Mark are still best friends today as they are becoming lovely men and building lovely families. Yesterday, Dan and his now wife Stephanie celebrated their wedding with all of their friends and family. When Dan asked Steph to marry him, he told her to pick a place in the world, anywhere she wanted to go, to get married. She picked the most beautiful castle in Ireland. After they returned as Mr. and Mrs. Jones, they planned a classic reception at the Jacob Smith House with just enough tulle and of course Jones Soda. Everyone had a lovely time, Stephanie was stunning in her vintage dress and Dan looked so grown up and dashing. I know I said I would only share one picture, but they were so lovely together even my iPhone took good pictures!
